PERSONALITY
Thorntooth is, generally speaking, the most grumpy member of the clan. He expects everything to be in order and tends to kick up a fuss if even the slightest thing goes wrong. As deputy, he tends to punish any cats that haven’t been pulling their weight by making them go on more patrols than usual. His diligence with having patrols out by a certain time is one of his most admirable qualities. Nothing will get in the way of Thorntooth making sure the clan is running as smoothly as possible. It isn’t uncommon for him wake up before Lionstar and sort out which cats are going to be patrolling where. His sarcasm and sharp tongue has always played a significant impact in his life, especially in regards to his apprentice moons. He would constantly snap back at his mentor for any little thing, and his attitude hasn’t changed as he’s gotten older. Thorntooth can, however, be very considerate of others’ needs if the situation arises. For example, if a cat wasn’t catching as much prey as they should, but they were distracted by the loss of a loved one, he would cut them some slack. His kindness isn’t usually seen in the professional setting, but he does try to be perceived as anything but ‘the bad guy’ of the clan.
HISTORY
Thorntooth was born in a fairly average clan, with nothing significantly special about them. His parents loved him, and he had a handful of close friends that he cherished. Nothing went badly until he became a warrior, and even then, it was the most minor of inconveniences. Lionwing, his best friend and the current deputy, suddenly vanished without a word to him. Thorntooth was naturally upset by this and made it his mission to seek out his former clanmate. He, like Lionwing, left the camp without a word to anyone; abandoning all he’d ever known in search of someone he didn’t want to see go. His journey took him very far south of the clan, far beyond the border and further than anything he’d ever known. He met a pretty she-cat called Cotton, but their small fling didn’t last as finding Lionwing was the biggest priority Thorntooth cared about. The fluffy tabby kittypet was everything he wanted in a mate, aside from the kittypet part. The pair parted on good terms, as Cotton knew deep down that he wouldn’t be staying around for long. It was months of searching before he found his best friend, snuggled up with his mate in his new clan. Thorntooth was immediately accepted into the clan, and whilst his only true friend is Lionstar, he knows that he belongs in BoulderClan’s oddly comforting family more than anywhere else he could be.

first day as an apprentice | Thorntooth's first apprentice day went as badly as you can expect. "Alright Thornpaw, it's your turn." Lilybloom turned her head to her apprentice. Lionpaw had already climbed the tree, with precision and grace, showing off his abilities. Thornpaw glanced up at the tree; it was too tall and too scary, but he didn't want to disappoint his mentor. He managed a tail-length in height before falling. "You've got this, Thornpaw. Just concentrate." So he did. Each claw into the tree gained him more and more height, until he was suddenly on top of a thick branch, looking down. Cheers came from below as Lilybloom gestured for him to come back down. Thornpaw carefully lowered his back leg onto the bark, but retracted it quickly. His whole body shook; an apprentice shouldn't be up this high! he thought. "I c-can't get back down." Lionpaw's laugh was all he could hear.
